Land at the end of Prentice Road, Stowmarket Site
The proposed site is situated at the end of Prentice Road. It was previous in use as a temporary car park although now remains vacant. The site together with adjacent land recently obtained planning permission for a care home and 93 apartments. The care home is currently being constructed and the 93 apartments can no longer come forward.
Our proposals seek to re-develop the vacant remaining part of the site with retirement living apartments which will meet the local need for older living accommodation and enhance the local character.
The site is located in an accessible location adjacent to public transport links such as Stowmarket railway station which is within walking distance to the proposed site and a number of bus stops situated along the B1115 and A1308.
The site is also located within easy reach of the town centre and shops and facilities on Gipping Way.
The existing site presently does not reflect the character and appearance of the area and its redevelopment for an attractive, high-quality retirement living development will bring this site back into beneficial and attractive use.
