The site is an existing brownfield, industrial site. The majority of the buildings were demolished in 2021 following a number of instances of vandalism, anti-social behaviour and arson. The principle of the site as an employment destination is well established and the proposals are not seeking to introduce any ‘new’ uses to the site. Rather, the scheme seeks to revitalise the existing industrial site by providing new, modern flexible units to help cater to local need and complement the existing nearby supply.
