Properties 154 and 156 New Hythe Lane
The site, 154 and 156 New Hythe Lane, currently comprises of two residential houses with large rear gardens situated along New Hythe Lane. It is proposed that these properties will be replaced with retirement living apartments. The site is surrounded by residential housing, local facilities and sits adjacent to Church Farm Hall.
Churchill Retirement Living’s vision is to provide a retirement living development that meets our customer’s needs and the local need for retirement apartments. The scheme currently proposes 32 retirement living apartments for local older persons.
The proposed redevelopment of the site for a retirement living community will deliver a development complementary to its residential surroundings.
The site is located in an accessible location with public transport links close by, including several bus stops situated along New Hythe Road.
Retirement Living developments have very specific design requirements. This, along with an analysis of the site and context, has led the Churchill’s Design Team to create a concept for the proposed development which is both appropriate for the site and in-keeping with its surroundings.
