Early Community Engagement

Following an initial pre-app meeting with Tewkesbury Borough Council Officers, David Lloyd Leisure were keen to establish whether there was local interest in David Lloyd Leisure investing in the local area. We opted to run a social media advert campaign where residents could register their support for the scheme. 

Details of the campaign

The advert targeted Bishop's Cleeve, Winchcombe, South Tewkesbury and North Cheltenham on the social media platform, Facebook. It was run for two weeks, and its purpose was to establish what level of interest there was locally for David Lloyd Leisure to invest in the area and did not disclose the exact location. 

To date we have: 

  • Received 451 registrations of support by residents

  • Had 1,275 Link clicks on the advert

  • Reached 14,858 individual accounts on Facebook during the advert’s lifetime
