David Lloyd Leisure has identified Stoke Orchard Road as an ideal location for a premium health and wellness centre, catering to Bishop’s Cleeve and its surrounding communities. 

The proposed development is part of an existing full planning permission for the construction of industrial units. However, we believe that establishing a purpose-built leisure and wellness club will deliver greater long-term benefits for the local community. 

This club will enhance local economic growth by providing a community-oriented destination that promotes physical and mental well-being. Compared to multiple industrial units, the club will create sustained employment opportunities, attract investment, and increase footfall, contributing positively to the local economy. 

The site is currently under-utilised and situated immediately opposite the existing Cheltenham North Rugby Football Club, creating a potential sport, and leisure hub.
