Blueberry Developments Estates Ltd are experts in building quality new homes throughout Kent and the Southeast, specialising in redeveloping former gas work sites to create places where local people want to live, and communities thrive. We are delighted to be working with architects The Harris Partnership to bring forward proposals for a mixed-use development at the Old Gas Works site on Pier Road, Gillingham.
A hybrid planning application (part detailed, part outline) has now been submitted to Medway Council as of May 2025. Blueberry Developments Estates Ltd would like to thank all members of the community who provided their feedback as final designs were prepared.
This application follows extensive engagement with Medway Council, local stakeholders and the wider community, and the detailed element includes a new foodstore and re-provision of the gas network facilities, alongside the outline element which includes proposals for up to 500 new homes, a care home/later living accomodation with up to 140 beds, flexible commercial space, and the potential for re-provision of the sailing clubhouse and facilities for Segas Sailing Club.
