This consultation is presented on behalf of Churchill Retirement Living and invites you to provide feedback on our initial proposals for land adjacent to Aldridge Manor House, Little Aston Road in Aldridge.
The site comprises of part of the car park for the Compass Suites and the former tennis courts and garden land of the Grade II Listed Manor House. Aldridge Manor House itself lies outside of the application site.
Churchill Retirement Living’s vision for the site is to deliver a Retirement Living development that meets our customer’s needs and the local need for retirement apartments, whilst also contributing positively to the character and appearance of Aldridge. Furthermore, the development will make a significant contribution locally in terms of social, economic and environmental benefits. The proposals will also provide a new car park to the rear of the Compass Suite.
Overall, the proposals would bring a vacant site into positive and beneficial use and enhance the setting of the Grade II listed Aldridge Manor House which will be subject to a forthcoming planning application on behalf of Kimberley Developments to renovate, enhance and bring back into use this significant building.
