Land adjacent to Aldridge Manor House

The land adjacent to Aldridge Manor House comprises the rear grounds of the Grade II Listed Manor House, including the former tennis courts, and part of the existing Compass Suite car park. The site is relatively flat and covers an area of 0.48 ha. 

The Aldridge Manor building is outside of the site and no changes are proposed to the building as part of Churchill’s plans.  The proposals will also provide a new car park to the rear of the Compass Suite.

The site is located to the east of Aldridge town centre and is therefore in an accessible location, adjacent to public transport links and is within easy walking distance to many local shops and everyday facilities. 

The site is also predominantly surrounded by 3-storey buildings in height which are often large community buildings set in landscaped grounds. 

The existing vacant space presently makes a negative contribution to the character and appearance of the area and its redevelopment for an attractive, high quality retirement living development will greatly enhance and protect setting of the Manor House.
