A sustainable extension to Whetstone

Our Proposals

We are currently preparing a full planning application for the site to contribute to the delivery of new housing in the district.

The new community will be a sustainable extension of Whetstone, providing much-needed new family housing with a mix of affordability types, energy-efficient homes, open green space, improved pedestrian and cycle paths and support for wider infrastructure upgrades.

Our planning application includes:

  • Up to 120 homes helping to meet local needs.

  • A mix of housing types and sizes including bungalows, situated on tree-lined streets.

  • Approximately 25% affordable housing units.

  • Public open space including provision of children’s play facilities.

  • Retention of existing landscaping wherever possible.

  • In excess of 10% biodiversity net-gain, creating new wildlife habitats and encouraging nature to thrive.  

  • Walking and cycling routes connecting new residents to Whetstone.
