Elm Grove Estate Regeneration
What’s happened so far?
In September 2024, Sutton Council resolved to grant planning permission for the principle of redevelopment of the Elm Grove Estate. This followed on from the Elm Grove residents’ ballot which took place in 2022.
The September 2024 decision enables the regeneration of Elm Grove to deliver around 300 new, high quality, sustainable homes for existing and future residents, including a range of modern flats and maisonettes. Importantly, up to 50% of the new homes will be affordable. The regeneration will also transform the local environment with new open space, communal courtyards and kids’ play spaces all on-site.
Lovell has recently been selected by the Council as their partner to design and deliver the detailed plans for Elm Grove. Our partnership will work together with you to prepare detailed plans to deliver the high-quality new homes at Elm Grove, as well as improved local infrastructure and connectivity to Sutton High Street and the town centre.
As the Council’s partner, we will be working in your community for the long term, through design, planning and construction operations. We are therefore keen to introduce ourselves at our initial event and start to listen and work with you as we develop the detailed plans for the scheme.
More detail on the background can be found on our event display materials here.
