Previously Submitted Application

This page provides information on our previously submitted application, which is still being considered.

In 2017, following extensive conversations with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, we submitted a planning application for a new Motorway Service Area. This application is still under consideration and can be found on the planning portal, with the reference number 17/03487/FUL. Our new application offers an alternative scheme, should both applications be approved.

If approved, our previously submitted application could deliver:

Amenity building including M&S Simply Food
Drive-thru Costa coffee shop.
Fuel-filling station.
Lodge hotel
Extensive landscape buffers
Space for HGVs
Ecotricity charging points for Electric Vehicles.

The site would be significantly landscaped with the planting of around 8,500 small trees and feature a sensitively designed amenity building that is reflective of the local chalk downland setting. The southern portion of the site is land that will be dedicated to nature, creating a large landscape buffer and planting mounds to screen the site and provide the opportunity for wildlife and nature enhancements.
