The Site

The site is located in a sustainable location adjacent to the M3 and east of Junction 6, with easy access to the wider strategic road network – such as the A339 and A33 – making it accessible to existing motorway traffic. To the east of the site is woodland known as Oaken Plantation, the southern and western boundaries are bordered by open fields. The site is roughly 1.3 miles from Basingstoke Town Centre and is separated from the Black Dam estate by extensive planting and the M3.

This is a vital section of the motorway network between London and Southampton that is not well served by rest stops for drivers. Access to the site will be provided via a new arm directly off the existing roundabout.
