Consultation Launched on Updated Proposals

Welcome to Persimmon’s consultation website for a new sustainable community in the East Lancaster.  
Persimmon are currently preparing a Hybrid planning application for a new neighbourhood that will provide much needed new homes, community facilities and an extensive country park for the current and future residents of Lancaster to enjoy. 
 
The site is known as the ‘East Lancaster Strategic Site’ in Lancaster’s Local District Plan and has been identified as a suitable location for development to help meet the City's housing needs. 

What has happened so far? 

Community engagement is a vital part of shaping the proposals for Persimmon’s site in Lancaster.  
 
To ensure the development meets the needs and aspirations of the local community, we are carrying out a thorough public consultation process to ensure local priorities are reflected in the plans. 
 
 A public consultation on the early proposals for the East Lancaster site was carried out in November 2024. The views and priorities you shared have provided essential insight, shaping the refinement of the proposals now being presented.

We have now completed a second round of community consultation. On this website, you will find our updated proposals and see how your previous feedback has been incorporated into the plans.
