Sustainability and climate change
In March 2019, Rushcliffe Borough Council declared a climate emergency and adopted its Carbon Management Plan, which outlines a series of recommendations necessary for the Council to become carbon neutral by 2030. Gamston Fields will integrate measures that will respond to climate change in line with the recommendations set out in the RBC Carbon Management Plan.
The Masterplan and outline planning application also deliver a series of social, economic and environmental benefits to secure a highly sustainable development. These benefits, alongside the key climate change considerations, are summarised through the infographics below.
