2022 Planning application amendments
We are pleased to provide you with a series of updates regarding our planning application for land north of South Woodham Ferrers.
During October 2021 our application was validated by Chelmsford City Council. Following this, and in response to some of the comments received, a series of amendments to the application were submitted to the City Council in July and October 2022.
These amendments are summarised below and will require further consideration by the City Council. It is anticipated that a decision on the application will be made in early 2023, albeit this is subject to final confirmation by the City Council.
What amendments were made during the summer?
Several initial amendments were made to our application in July, including the following:
Revised Parameter Plans
Phasing and wider walking routes as a result of feedback from Natural England
As a result of these amendments, addressing matters raised by statutory consultees, the initial objections from Natural England and the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) were lifted.
During October, several further amendments were made which include:
An updated Transport Assessment (TA) that includes upgraded highway drawings
Updated road layout arrangements to connect with the new site access designsÂ
Revisions to the scheme construction phasingÂ
Updated Design and Access Statement
Next Steps
Chelmsford City Council is due to reconsult on the application for a period which will run until 10th December 2022, prior to a decision being made at some point in early 2023.
If the application is approved, we anticipate that site construction could begin in late 2024.
